Mental Health Support
University can be an incredibly challenging period of time, whatever your prior experiences may be. It is normal to experience poor mental health at some point during your student journey and Beds SU encourages you to reach out for support as soon as possible.  Below are details of some trusted support services both within and beyond the University. Luton Food Banks
What is a Food Bank? Food banks are community organisations that can help if you can’t afford the food you need. You’ll usually need to get a referral to a food bank before you can use it. This includes all food banks run by the Trussell Trust. You can get a referral for yourself and any family members you live with - including your partner. You might be able to use some food banks without a referral - for example, if it’s run by a church. Contact your local food bank to see if you need a referral.  Luton Food Bank  Anyone who finds that they're unable to cope with food costs can access Luton Foodbanks.  You will need a voucher to claim food parcels.  An advisor will refer you if you qualify for a voucher. Contact by emailing advisors@lutonfoodbank.org.uk or calling 01582 725838 (Mon-Fri, 8.30am-4pm)  Advisors can assess your situation and arrange food parcels where appropriate.
