What places are available for study?
At the Library in the LSC Birmingham site, there are 24 study spaces for students to use, each with a PC.
Can I loan a laptop?
Yes, you can! There are 10 laptops available to borrow - just make sure you return it within a week!
Are there spaces for silent study?
Students are expected to work quietly in the library, and so it should provide you with a silent environment to work.
Are there any spaces to do group work?
- The only spaces available in the Library are the ones stated above. Students are expected to work quietly in this Library, therefore doing group work or study there is not appropriate.
- The back of the library is occasionally used as a prayer space by students, meaning that it is important for the space to be quiet.
What if I need somewhere to do group work?
- There is the common room if you wish to study or work as a group. However, this is not ideal and there are no designated rooms for this which you can book like at the libraries on some of the other campuses.
- If you are unsatisfied with the study spaces available at your campus, please contact [email protected] to let us know what kinds of study spaces you’d like to see there.
